Good Samaritans' Partners....
In addition to the local donations from our community, Good Samaritans works closely with agencies with similar concerns and clients.
Because of regular communications with organizations such as St. Vincent DePaul, Seventh Day Adventist Community Services, The Salvation Army, Charlotte County Homeless Coalition, local law enforcement and human services agencies, all of us are better able to serve the largest number of those in need.
Our partnership with the Charlotte Community Foundation has afforded us the opportunity to provide fresh perishable products, by providing the funding of a large commercial refrigerator / freezer unit to maintain healthier choices for our clients who are in need.
Our Community partners, Worden Farms, Winn-Dixie and Charlotte Community Foundation have been a great benefit in creating a very successful year - we thank them all!
We have also been working with the Empty Bowls event, which has greatly assisted us with the funds needed to feed the hungry. Please support this project in November.
If you would like to assist us in serving our community, here is how you can help....
1. Donate Time: Volunteer in the office meeting clients or working in the pantry. Assist in picking up food donations; assist in spreading the word about us with organization within Charlotte County; assist in our fundraising efforts.
2. Donate Food: We are always in need of non-perishable food items which include cereals, pasta, canned goods. We also need toiletry items such as shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant; and paper products such as toilet tissue, napkins, paper plates and paper towels.
3. Donate Money: All money donated stays and assists resident of Charlotte County. Your financial donations go directly to benefit and assist your neighbors.
